This item is a World War I German soldiers enamel made large serving dinner plate. The plate is in fantastic condition for its age and has most of its white enamel still on it and only has some light rust and has a clear maker marked stamp on the back and is in very solid condition. The plate was recovered from inside a German bunker near the village of Bucquay which was a German artillery position during the later part of The Somme battle in 1916 a very nice relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
