    This is a Austro-Hungarian soldiers M16 helmet very nice condition still smooth to the touch in places with surface rust but no heavy rust at all the shell is complete but with no liner.This helmet still has some original paintwork on the inside the shell it has no battle damage or damage of any kind it is a perfect condition battlefield find which is a perfect example for any collection and rare to get hold off from the Italian Front.The helmet was recovered from around Triesta which was captured during the Battle of Vittorio Veneto in October 1918 the battlefield on the Italian Front.This is a cracking relic from the Italian front in world war 1.

    The Battle of Vittorio Veneto was fought from 24 October to 3 November 1918 was last battle fought on the Italian Front and after it the the Austro-Hungarian Army surrendered.
