    This is a British bofars 40mm brass shell case fired by bofors anti-aircraft gun. The case is in fantastic condition nicely clean still retains its brass colour and has all its original markings on the bottom of it including the date 1942 the case was found on a brocante or boot fair in Northern France so used at some point in the war on the Western Front.
