This is a American first aid kit carried in jeeps this is just a empty tin no contents it is complete with all its original markings on the lid not all perfectly clear to read but mostly there it has most of its original green paintwork the tin has very little rust but a bit of surface rust in places and no rust holes. The lid still opens and closes and locks but one of the catches has broken on the inside it has its original paper label and cardboard lining not sure if it is original or not a very nice condition medical tin and not common to find and especially for a battlefield find. This tin came from a local brocante or boot fair in Bras a village just outside Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest used by the American forces in the battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.A very nice rare relic freshly found in September 2018 in Belgium ware it has been since the battle.

This is a first aid kit carried in the jeeps. Complete with the metal box. Multiple compartments to carry different type of items. Nicely marked. The kit was secured to the back of the passanger seat. A couple of metal straps ensured the first aid kit did not move while travelling through rough terrain.

THIS ITEM IS FREE UK SHIPPING. FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS, IT IS AT A REDUCED RATE. PLEASE ASK BEFORE PURCHASE.
