MG34 / 42 optical sight that was recovered from a roadside ditch near hill 192 and the positions of Fallschirmjager troops & Panzer Lehr Division that fought in the battle of St.Lo on the Normandy battlefield of  July 1944. A very nice relic from the famous battlefield and a hard fought battle not that well known today.

The WWII German  Optical Sight was intended for use with the MG34 and later the MG42 machine gun, whilst mounted on a Lafette tripod in a heavy machine gun mode.
