This is a rare find from the battlefield British Army 3 holding pins used for retaining railway tracks to the sleepers for the narrow-gauge railway .The pins are complete and in relic but solid condition they are rusty but not braking up or falling apart at all and have been very well cleaned perfect to display or for any collection. The pins which are just under 5 inches long were used on the narrow-gauge railway system for moving ammunition, medical and supply trains across the front the pins were recovered in 2018 from the village of Heilly which was the site of the 36th casualty clearing station set up in April 1916 and used by the British though out the battle of the Somme in 1916 and so unusual to get any thing from the railway system recovered from the battlefield.
