This is a very rare find from the battlefield British Army narrow-gauge railway sleeper. The sleeper which is complete and is in relic but solid condition it is rusty but not braking up or falling apart at all it has been very well cleaned perfect to display or for any collection. The sleeper which was used on the narrow-gauge railway system for moving ammunition, medical and supply trains across the front the sleeper was recovered in 2018 from the village of Heilly which was the site of the 36th casualty clearing station set up in April 1916 and used by the British though out the battle of the Somme in 1916.The sleeper comes with A5 laminated information card and so unusual to get any thing from the railway system recovered from the battlefield.
