    This is an original ww2 French soldiers water bottle rusty underneath and blue paintwork over the top it is in nice solid condition was recovered many years ago from the Dunkirk pocket and painted to help preserve it .The bottle is missing its cork stopper but does have its original leather carry strap which is its original colour and very solid it has no holes in it that can be seen possible post war repair in the bottom and is perfect for display or any collection. This bottle came from a private collection in Dunkirk so left over from the Dunkirk pocket of 1940 a very nice relic from the famous battle.

     The Battle of Dunkirk took place in Dunkirk, France, during the Second World War between the Allies and Nazi Germany. As part of the Battle of France on the Western Front, the Battle of Dunkirk was the defence and evacuation of British and Allied forces in Europe from 26 May – 4 June 1940.
