    This is a very nice original German soldiers complete waterbottle later war type with its bakerite top. The water bottle is complete with its leather carry strap and the original green cloth bottle cover this cloth does have some holes in it and the leather straps have a replacement one on late war type of some sort. The bottle top still unscrews and screws up perfectly the retains its original aluminium colour overall very nice condition the bottle could be used for rein acting if you wanted to or is perfect for display or any collection and very rare to find from the battlefield in this condition. This bottle was found on a local brocante or boot fair in Bras a village just outside Bastogne this village is were British and American forces both re captured it from the Germans during the fighting in early 1945. This bottle was used in the fighting that took place in the Ardennes Forest during the battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.A very nice unusual relic found in September 2020 in Belgium ware it has been since the battle.
