    This is an Original German soldiers memorial death card which is in nice complete condition with all its text clear to read the paper card has no real damage its is very solid and is perfect for display or any collection. This card is for Luftwaffe pilot Lieutenant Max Schilling the card reads, he was faithfully loyal to his oath of allegiance he is dead now my second son and our dear cousin, brother and fiancé. He was a Sargent and mechanic in the Luftwaffe, he was awarded the iron cross 1st and 2nd class , the transport clasp in gold, the bombing clasp in silver and a award for shooting down aircraft and the eastern front medal. He flew operational flights in Africa and Russia, he died on the 22nd January 1943 aged 23 years. He was killed in Kertsch and his grave is in Tagangrong in Russia.
