This is a German 77mm brass shell case for the 7.7 cm Feldkanone 96 it is in nice condition with some damage some dents around the case nothing to bad the case still has all of its markings on the bottom including the date October 1914 very rare early war all clear to see it still retains its brass colour and has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and comes from a private collection on the Somme. A very nice  German artillery relic from the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.
