    This is a German M16 practice stick grenade which is the head complete with the stick and has some small remains of original red paint work remains which means practice.The grenade case which is empty and inert it is complete rusty but solid it is in relic condition but overall in very good condition the stick is near complete the bottom section of the handle has broken away the wood is still very solid not braking upor falling apart but stained black from something the stick does in and out of the head if you want to overall lovely condition for a recovered battlefield find it has been very well cleaned and is lovely condition perfect for display or any collection.The grenade was recovered from inside a German bunker near the village of Bucquay which was a German artillery position during the later part of The Somme battle in 1916 a very nice and rare relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
