British fuel can or better known the famous Jerry can this one is dated 1944 with the War Department arrow maker marked BOC with the original green paintwork which has come off in places but clear to see the camouflage paint all over the can.The can still has rare to find metal warning plate about being highly flammable these were not standard to all cans so unusual find it has no real damage small dents and some scratches from use it does not have any rust holes that can be seen and the cap still opens and closes also locks perfectly well it is in overall a nice condition and a nice example of this famous fuel can found from the battlefield. This can was recovered on a Farm in the Village of Clecy near Falaise in Normandy from the summer battlefield of 1944.
