    This is a badly battle-damaged German M16 helmet remains which is missing the front and back sections it is thin metal as it has rusted but is nice and solid not braking up or falling apart. The helmet has been very well cleaned still retains its famous shape it does have some rust holes and rust damage and battle damage splits it is a nice solid relic that is not braking up or falling apart .The helmet was recovered from the area of the Schwaben Redoubt near Thiepval on the Somme battlefield of July 1916 this area saw very heavy fighting on the first of the battle on the 1st July 1916. A very nice iconic find from The famous Somme battlefield and comes with A5 laminated information card.
