This is a VERY RARE 8.8cm KwK 43 shell case in very unusual condition fired by German King Tiger tank. This shell case is near complete it is rusty but solid it is relic but overall in fantastic condition for a steel made shell case it does not have any rust holes in it and large hole near the bottom where the tank crushed it but also has some very small remains of the original brass wash finnish the case has its primer in place which has been fired the case has been very nicely cleaned and has come up well perfect for display or any collection .The case is so rare to find from the battle field this case along with the other case i have for sale on the site were found together in the same hole so would have been fired by the same tank but the rare bit about this one is you can see ware the Tank has driven over the case and partly crushed it after it had been fired and thrown out of the Tank a very nice relic from the famous King Tiger tank. The case was recovered from he Ardennes Forest used by the Germans in the battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.A very rare relic from this famous battle ware this tank made its name and Hitlers last big offensive. The case comes with a A5 laminated information card with photo.

The Tiger II was also used in significant numbers, distributed into four heavy panzer battalions, during the Ardennes Offensive the Battle of the Bulge of December 1944. At least 150 Tiger IIs were present, nearly a third of total production, and most were lost during the course of the offensive.
