    This is a Rare Austro-Hungarian 3 shell ammuntion crate for the M1879 Artillery gun re stamped over an original date 1916 a re used crate.The box is nicely marked on the exterior with stamps and markings in red ink on the front it says explosive and maker marked on the top also on both sides of the crate which is also still covered in original black paintwork the hinges are in good working order the lid opens closes and the locks work as well but are a bit stiff the box has had wood worm but has been treated.The inside of the box is in nice condition well used with the remains of the 3 shell carry rack overall the crate does have a bit of damage from wear and tear when being used but the wood is still solid for over 100 years old and the box is perfect for display or any collection and very hard to get anything these days Austro-Hungarian.This crate was found in Poland from 1914-1915 campaign against Russia
