    This is a RARE find from the First World War it is a German wooden shell rack for 7.58cm minenwerfer mortar shells.The racks were made mostly by the troops themselves but some were issued but not many have survived this one is in good condition and still retains some of it's straps the wood is still solid and the rack has no major damage and could be used to store shells again if you wanted to.The rack came from a private collection on the famous Somme battlefield were it would have been used by the Germans at some point during the battle.The rack comes with a 5x7 laminated information sheet with photos.
