This is a Rare smooth sided German soldiers MP40 machine gun magazine empty of all ammunition relic condition these type of magazine are much harder to find then the standard ones. The magazine which has lots of its original black paintwork clear to see it is missing all of its internal parts but does have some rust holes and a dent but nothing to bad it is a nice solid condition relic overall very good nice condition for a recovered battlefield find nicely cleaned and perfect for display or any collection. The magazine was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield.
