    This is a group of parts which are 3 aluminium airframe parts with clear to see green paintwork. There is also 5 internal engine parts which are a section of brass radiator, rubber hose section, filler cap section of engine case also a drive shaft crank part and a large engine part possible electrical of some sort all are in nice condition for smashed battle of Britain spitfire relics The parts have ripped, bent and smashed in the crash and still retain some of there original colour and have been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection the parts are 2-6 inches long in size and very rare to get these days now such a nice group of battle of Britain spitfire parts. The parts come from RAF spitfire P9447 was shot down on the 11th October 1940 and crashed at Preston Hall near Maidstone. The parts come with a A5 laminated information card with pilots photo. 

    RAF Spitfire P9447

     This spitfire was shot down on the 11th October 1940 the plane was in combat with Messerschmitt bf 109's. The pilot was Pilot Officer J.G Lecky he bailed out but was killed. His Spitfire, P9447 crashed at Preston Hall near Maidstone. John Gage Lecky first posting was to an army co-operation squadron and he then joined 610 Squadron at Biggin Hill in August 1940.Pilot Officer Lecky moved to 41 Squadron at Hornchurch on 1st October 1940. John Lecky was 19 he is buried in All Saints' churchyard, Tilford, Surrey.
