This is an original fantastic condition German iron cross first class medal. The medal is in relic but still solid it still has its swastika in place which can be seen partly but not that clear this is the pin back version which is not so common to find the medal retains a lot of its original colours a cracking relic that has been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection. The medal was recovered from a field near the village of Trun which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket,Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield.
