This is a large size pair of aluminium made airframe panels both part of the main airframe of the plane one is a very long section.The panels which do still have a lot of black/gray/green original paintwork very clear to see but they have ripped and bent by the impact of the crash they have been very nicely cleaned and still retain a lot of there original colour they are a nice size at around 6-15 inches long.These very nice condition parts were recovered from Junkers ju88 bomber number 317 shot down 16th October 1940 which crashed in Essex.The group comes with a A5 laminated information card with pictures.
German Junkers Ju88 bomber work number 317 which was on the 16th October 1940 this aircraft was on a bombing raid over London but before it got there it crashed in a very large explosion and burned out in the Village of Much Hadham near Bishops stortford Church in Essex.
All the crew were killed they were Hauptmann Erich Hass, Feldwebel Josef Kessels, Feldwebel Gunther Suhr and war correspondant Anton Doppelfeld.
