    This is a blown off Suspension bar section from American Sherman tank which has been mounted on to a wooden display stand which is 14 inches ling.The bar which has ripped from the tank in an explosion which was rusty but has now been over painted green for display it is very solid and has been very well cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection and comes with a laminated A5 information sheet with information and photos.The Suspension bar was recovered on the Longvilly road near Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest from the scene of the battle of the bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.A very nice and rare relic from this famous battle and Hitler's last big offensive of the war. 

    The battle on the Longvilly road took place on the 19th December 1944 when an American force under Colonel Cherry came under attack by German Panzer Lehr Division along the road between Longvilly and Bastogne the Americans lost around 200 vehicles in the battle.
