    This is a matching pair of shortened French 75mm brass shell cases trench art crown top with double line design .The cases are in fantastic condition nice and clean still retain there shiny brass colour and have no major damage.The cases have all there original markings on the bottom of it including both being dated 1918 all the markings are clear to read. The shells were fired by Canon de 75mm Modele 1897 the standard French gun on the Western Front. The cases come from a private collection on the Somme and is a very nice condition relic from the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.
