Lovely leaves and pebble dash design German 77mm trench art shell case dated October 1897 rare pre war stock found on the Verdun battlefield of 1916-1918

This is a German 77mm standard size shell case which is a lovely bit of trench art leaves and pebble dash design the case is in very nice condition nicely marked with no major damage and retains its shiny brass colour. The case has all of its original markings on the bottom of it including the date October 1897 very clear to see and is rare pre war stock. The case comes from a private collection which all items were found on the Verdun battlefield in France of 1916-1918.
