    This is a pair of German K98 rifle butt plates which both still have the remains of the wood in they are in relic and rusty condition but still very solid they are not braking up or falling apart at all they have been left in as found condition still with dirt and muck attached they can be cleaned if you wanted to either way they are perfect for display or any collection. The rifle parts were recovered from near the town of Goch in the Reichswald Forest which was part of the Siegfried Line this area was defended in the battle by the 6th Parachute division with other troops so hence the possibility they are  fallschirmjager used ones as they were there the battle fought between 8th February to 11th March 1945 in Germany.
