This is a German 50mm pak 38 anti tank gun blown apart shell case with battle damage it has clear impact hits and mark and half side of the case has ripped out. The case is steel made it is in relic but solid condition it has been very nicely cleaned on the bottom it is complete with its primer but has no marking readable the case is still fairly smooth to the touch but is pitted and rusty but is a nice condition relic which is perfect for display or any collection. The case was recovered from around the area of Hill 262 or Mont Ormel as it is known the area was defended by the remnants of 20 German infantry and panzer divisions during battle in the Falaise Pocket in Normandy on the August 1944 Battlefield. The case comes with a A5 laminated information sheet with photos.
