     This is a unusual find a American soldiers M1942 mess tin nice condition aluminium made 2 part mess tin which is pretty much complete apart from the handle. The tin is in nice solid condition it is undamaged it still retains a lot of its original colour it does still have a little bit of dirt on it the tin is in semi-relic but solid condition and overall very good, nice condition for a recovered battlefield find nicely cleaned and perfect for display or any collection. The tin was would have been used in the fighting that took place in the Ardennes Forest during the battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.A very nice unusual relic found on a local brocante in September 2020 in the village of Bras near Bastogne in Belgium ware it has been since the battle in 1945.The tin comes with A5 laminated information card
