British made 40mm bofors gun brass case dated 1943 very nice condition trench art recovered from Monte Cassino the Italian battlefield of 1944 from a local museum which closed down in 2015

This is a British made 40mm bofors gun brass case dated 1943 very nice condition trench art with a shaped neck. The case is in lovely condition with no damage still retains its original brass colour and on the base it still has all its original markings very clear to see but has no primer. The shell was recovered from Monte Cassino the Italian battlefield of 1944 it was recovered many years ago and has been in a local museum since which closed down in 2015.A very nice relic from the very famous Italian battlefield.
