    This is a unusual find which is a German Luftwaffe Bakelite fuse container with all of its maker markings dated 1940 which held fuses for aerial bombs fuse numbers El.A.Z.25 and El.A.Z.25 D.The container which is complete and undamaged it still retains all of its original colour and the lid screws on and off perfectly. The container has all of its marker markings on the inside of the lid and on the inside of the base that can be seen very clear it is dated 1942 on the lid and on the outside of the case base it has been very nicely cleaned and it is perfect to display or any collection.This container along with others were recovered from Luftwaffe dump site on the old Luftwaffe air base at Trier which was in use from 1936 until 1945.The container comes with A5 laminated information card with pictures.

    When World War 2 broke out with France on 3 September 1939, Trier Airfield was placed on alert, but no Luftwaffe aircraft were assigned until May 1940, during the buildup of German forces prior to the Battle of France there were Messerschmitt 109’s also Messerschmitt 110’s and Dornier Do 17’s.
