    This is a very rare British soldiers brass mouth peace section from the early pattern gas mask not issued in the numbers that the later ones were.The brass made tube  is in nice solid condition for a recovered relic the brass has gone green from being buried and it is also a bit knocked and dented it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection .This gas mask part was recovered in the area that was Guillemont Station on the July-August 1916 battlefield on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916.Below picture is the shattered remains of Guillemont Station in 1916 after the battle.
