    This is a Rare pre war aluminium made British number 80 mark 2 fuse dated June 1906 and has clear maker markings for 18 pounder shell it has chunks missing when the shell was fired it does have some damage from that and still a bit of dirt and muck on it from the recovery. The shell head is in very nice condition still with the markings very clear to se including the date 1906 the head does still have a lot of its original colours and has been very well cleaned. This head would have been used very early war these were the only time they were used this one has been recovered from the Ypres battlefield the early war battles of 1914-1915 at the beginning of the war in Belgium on the Western Front.
