    This is a lovely find and very rare factory made by the Germans themselves for display and research purposes a German model 1917 egg grenade cutaway on one side. The  grenade is in very nice condition not relic or pitted and has all of its original black paintwork it is very solid not braking up or falling apart. The grenade which is empty and inert with its transit fuse the grenade is not maker marked on the bottom that can be seen it is very solid and has been nicely cleaned with very little rust it is perfect for display or any collection and very rare to find in this good a condition and for what it is these were not made in that large numbers. The grenade was found in a private collection in the Ypres area of Belgium the 1914-1918 battlefield. A very nice and rare find from the famous Ypres battlefield on the western front in Belgium.
