This is a German soldiers M42 helmet and still has some remains of its original green paintwork partly clear to see mostly on the outside. The helmet has some rust holes, damage and cracks in the top of it some battle damage the other from being buried but everywhere else is in good condition with no holes it is rusty but solid it has no leather liner or chin strap but has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and rare to get a helmet from this battlefield in such nice condition with this amount of paintwork. This helmet was recovered from near the village of Plota which is south Prokhorovka ware the main tank battle was on the 12th July 1943 the site of the largest Tank battle of the war and the last great German offensive of the war in the East at Kursk in Russia.
