This is a fantastic condition matching pair of Trench art cases that have a embossed flower design all over them they are German 77mm brass shell cases for the 7.7 cm Feldkanone 96. The cases are in lovely condition with no major damage they are there shiny brass colour with a bit of discolour even near perfect inside the cases have a well done design. The cases are complete on the bottom with all of there original markings all clear to see they are both dated one is 1915 the other is 1917 the cases come from a private collection on the Somme. A very nice German artillery relic which has been turned in to trench art from the famous Somme battlefield of northern France in 1916-1918.
