This is a World War I German 1st pattern pair of large long handled barbed wire cutters. These wire cutters which have rusted solid and do not work but does have the remains of one of the wooden handles they are in very nice and solid condition they are rusty but not to bad and are in perfect condition for relic but overall a very nice example of these early war German barbed wire cutters. The cutters were found on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918 a very nice and iconic find from this famous battle.
