British 18 pounder shell case with all its markings dated 19th December 1914 very nice condition found on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918 this would have been fired during prelude to 1st July attack

This is a British 18 pounder shell case which is a rarer early war made case. The case is in fantastic condition nicely clean still retains its shiny brass colour with no damage but with a little bit of discolour but even the inside is fairly clean and has all its original markings on the bottom of it including the date 19th December 1914 and on the primer it is dated March 1916 all clear to see. The case was found on the Somme a very nice condition this would have been fired during the prelude to the 1st July 1916 Somme offensive the famous Western front battle.
