This is a rare solid steel airframe structure section that still has some dirt attached and inside the middle of it from the recovery. The section which has blown apart from the explosion which is rusty but overall nice condition it has ripped off and bent up by the impact of the crash and the explosion and is in nice relic but solid condition it is 5 inches long by 3 inches wide in size.This is is a rare one for any collection and is perfect for display. The part was recovered from the crash site of German V1 rocket which crashed near Ashford in kent. The rocket exploded scattering parts over a wide area and damaging the Church of St Mary in Little Chart. The church was heavily damaged by the impact on the August 16, 1944.A very nice relic from V1 doodlebug rocket and comes with a 2xA5 laminated information cards with photo.
These parts were recovered back in the 1980’s by a local collector who visted the crash site and surrounding area many times over the years collecting parts of the rocket.
