    This is a nice find from the battlefield a German [Gewehrpanzergranate 30] 98K schiebecher small armour piercing anti tank rifle grenade which is complete the top fuse part which has the chain attached but is broken.The grenade case is rusty and pitted with some rust holes and has a bit of damage to the top edge it still has some original paintwork clear to see also the bottom section is there and is metal made overall it is very solid not braking up it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The rifle grenade which is empty and completely inert and was recovered from rubbish pit dug either by the Germans during the battle or in battlefield clearance after the battle found near the town of osweiler in Luxemburg this area was attacked by the German 212 Volksgrenadier-Division during the battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945 during the Ardennes offensive and Hitler's last offensive in the West.

    The 212. Volksgrenadier-Division was formed in October 1944 from the partially formed from 578 Volksgrenadier Division. It fought on the Western Front suffering heavy losses during the Battle of the Bulge and at the Siegfried Line, it surrendered to the US forces at the end of the war.
