This is a rare find from the battlefield a British brown enamel large medical water bottle which still retains some of its original brown colour outside and blue internal paintwork. The bottle is not complete but it is in nice solid condition for a recovered relic which were not issued in large numbers why they are so hard to find The bottle which is missing its mouth peace and its cork stopper it does have some damage and rust holes with surface rust from being buried but has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. This bottle was recovered from Broodseinde Ridge the October 1917 battle part of the battles around the Ypres salient in the later part of the war. A very nice find from the famous Ypres battlefield of 1914-1918 in Belgium.
