This is a German soldiers late war issued M15 water bottle with the flat drinking spout which has been burnt in the battle on the ridge in 1917. The bottle has no paintwork left is has all burnt off it does have one hole in it also no cork stopper but has been lightly cleaned it is still very solid not braking up and is perfect for display or any collection. The bottle was recovered from Broodseinde Ridge the October 1917 battle part of the battles around the Ypres salient in the later part of the war. A very nice find from the famous Ypres battlefield of 1914-1918 in Belgium.

German soldiers late war circa mid 1917-1918 issued M15 water bottle with the flat drinking spout this was made instead of the standard embossed M15 bottled spout as it used less material in manufacture this bottle is far less common to find due to its mid to late 1917 production start.
