Airframe structure section with black paintwork remains nice clean part from German Junkers ju88 work number 140556 A-4/Trop of Aufklarungsstaffel 1.[F]AGr124,shot down by friendly fire,19th October 1944 it crashed at Lentokonelampi, Ivalo in Finland.

 This is a nice and rare to find a aluminium airframe section which is a few parts still riveted together which is a lovely clean section and has clear to see some of its original black camouflage paintwork remains.The panel has some corrosion nothing to bad from laying around on the forest floor for many years it does still retain most of its original colour and has ripped and bent by the impact of the crash it is in nice solid condition the part has  been very nicely cleaned and is perfect or display or any collection the part is 7 inches long and 4 inches wide. The part is from German Junkers ju88 work number 140556 A-4/Trop of Aufklarungsstaffel 1.[F]AGr124 which was shot down by German flak or Messerschmidt 109 friendly fire on the 19th October 1944.The bomber crashed at Lentokonelampi, Ivalo in Finland.The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with crash site pictures of what it looks like now.The parts have come from a private collection which the items were collected many years ago directly from the crash sites he visited and found including surface finds or some aircraft that were dug out and recovered all these parts now available for the first time.

The Ju88 was accidently shot at by ground fire from German ground unit. The aircraft started burning, three of the four onboard managed to parachute. Oberleutnant. Werner Horst was (wounded). Feldwebel. Oswald Heider. Feldwebel. Ernst Beck bailed out but died. Stansfeldwebel. Willi Welz was missing never found he probably went down with some of the aircraft into the lake. 

The Ju88 was part of Aufklärungsstaffel 1.(F)/124 which was a German reconnaissance squadron during World War II, part of the Aufklärungsgruppe 124 (Reconnaissance Group 124). It was formed on November 1, 1938, at Wiener Neustadt, Austria, and initially equipped with Dornier Do 17Fs, later upgraded to Do 17Ps. The unit saw action in the Polish campaign, operating under Fliegerführer z.b.V./Luftflotte 4. After a period of standby in the West, it was reactivated in 1941 and participated in operations in Finland and Norway.
