    This is a unusual find a Very large artillery shell base screw in plug which is a heavy lump of metal it is 8cm wide on the screw in side not sure which county is was used by. This large artillery is in very nice condition it does have no original markings but has been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection .This base has been recovered from woods near the village of Flers on the Somme battlefield of late summer 1916. Flers was the first village captured using tanks in September 1916 during the battle of the Somme.
