    This is a group of airframe and engine parts from a Battle of Britain Hurricane.There are 8 parts in all 3 engine parts and 5 aluminium airframe sections which a couple have some original black paintwork all the parts still with a little bit of there original colours  but still with some dirt attached from the recovery. The parts are in nice solid condition all the parts have ripped and bent by the impact of the crash and have been nicely cleaned might clean up more with effort they are in nice solid condition and are perfect for display or any collection the parts are 3-4 inches long.This group of parts are from RAF Hurricane V6638 the pilot was Flying Officer A.A.G Trueman who was shot down on the 4th September 1940 during Battle of Britain.The parts come with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures of the pilot.

    RAF Hurricane V6638 the pilot was Flying Officer A.A.G Trueman who was shot down at 10.00am on the 4th September 1940 during Battle of Britain.Hurricane V6638 was with 253 squadron when it was involved in combat with Messerschmitt ME109’s and shot down over Kenley South London. A.A.G Trueman was killed the plane crashed in Tudor Close,Banstead. He was 26 and is buried in St. Luke's churchyard, Whyteleafe, Surrey.

    Alec Albert Gray Trueman was born in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada in 1914. He joined the RAF on a short service commission in March 1938. After completing his training at 6 FTS Netheravon he served in Bomber Command as a pilot.In May 1940 Trueman was with 144 Squadron at Hemswell. On the 27th the back of his Hampden, L4135, broke as he was taxying with a full bomb load on a training exercise. The crew were uninjured. Trueman volunteered to serve in Fighter Command and arrived at 6 OTU Sutton Bridge on 24th June 1940 to convert to Hurricanes. He was then posted to 253 Squadron at Turnhouse on 20th July. He damaged a Messerschmitt 109 on 2nd September 1940.
