    This is a unusual to get group of parts from a German bomber shot down on one of the very first famous nighttime raids on Coventry and there not much of this aircraft around now.This is a large group parts which are a section of aluminium air frame also large mag allow engine case section, section of brass radiator and rubber fuel tank cover section The airframe part which is  fairly clean with some green original paintwork the engine case has lots of black paintwork very clear to see all the parts have lots of original colours all the parts have ripped and bent by the impact of the crash they are solid parts and are 7-11 inches long.The parts are from German Heinkel 111 bomber of 3/KG1 number 5376 which was shot down in the early hours of Tuesday Morning the 27th August 1940 while on a night bombing raid over Coventry during the Battle of Britain.The part comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with a picture of the crash site taken that morning and the pilot.

    The aircraft was caught in searchlights forcing the crew to drop their bombs blind with both engines not working properly trying to limp home but no success the plane lost height and crashed. The aircraft was shot down by anti-aircraft fire whilst on a mission to bomb factories in Coventry at 02.31am in the morning. The bomber crashed in to Manor Avenue in Caterham, Surrey. The crew Gruppenkommandeur Major W. Fanelsa, Feldwebel F. Meyer, Oberfeldwebel A. Vetter, Oberfeldwebel E. Braunsburger and Gefreiter G. Zimpel all baled out and were captured.
