Airframe structure part with original black paintwork from German Junkers JU52 operated by Deutsche Lufthansa work number 5078,named "Rudolf Windisch used by deputy Fuhrer Rudolf Hess until 3rd December 1936 when it crashed into the French Alps.

This is a unbelievable rare item this is a large aluminium air frame section which looks like a control panel or an edge of panel of some sort with a nut and bolt which still has pretty much all of its original black paint work still there and very clear to see with lots of original colour. The section has some damage from the impact of the crash it is in lovely condition it has been nicely cleaned perfect for display and is 19 inches long and 2 inchs wide in size. The part is from German Junkers JU52 transport plane operated by Deutsche Lufthansa and was work number 5078 which was named "Rudolf Windisch" and was the deputy Fuhrer Rudolf Hess private aircraft from 1935 until 3rd December 1936 when it crashed into the French Alps.The part was recovered with other items from crash site sometime in the 1980's and comes with 2xA5 laminated information sheets with pictures and there is very little of this aircraft around now these days.

The ju52 aircraft impacted a mountainside in the French Alps on the slopes of the mountain peak of Pointe D’Almet near Le Grand-Bornand, some 20 km east of Annecy. The aircraft was in strong winds which caused the aircraft to fly out of track. Poor visibility was a contributing factor All six people on board were killed.
The aircraft operated on a flight from Lisbon, Portugal to Stuttgart, Germany with at least one intermediate stop: Geneva in Switzerland.
