    This is a fantastic condition German soldiers M40 helmet lovely semi-relic that has no leather liner.The helmet has lots of its original green paintwork very clear to see the helmet has some very light rust damage nothing to bad it does have an impact crack and hole in the top of it from a hit it has no rust holes in it the helmet is rusty and a bit pitted but it is very solid and not braking up or falling apart at all it has been very well cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection a very rare to find in this condition from the battlefield. The helmet was recovered from the airfield at Voroponovo which was in the 6th Army pocket during the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942-1943.The helmet comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards.
