    British fuel can or better known the famous Jerry can this one is dated 1944 with the War Department arrow maker marked with original green camouflage paintwork which has come off in places but clear to see the camouflage paint has cleaned up very well .The can has no real damage small dents and some scratches from use it does not have any rust holes that can be seen and the cap still opens and closes also locks perfectly well it is in overall a nice condition and a nice example of this famous fuel can found from the battlefield. This can was recovered years ago from the battlefield around Monte Cassino in Italy and have been in a local Museum for many years until the Museum closed down in 2015 and all the items were sold off. A very nice a rare relic from the Battles around the Monte Cassino Hills and the famous Abbey and comes with A5 laminated information card.
