    This is a fantastic condition British mills bomb hand grenade which is not really relic much better then that complete with some of its internal parts and all its external parts.The grenade is complete with a very rare to find steel made No 5 base plate dated December 1916, the grenade is empty and inert. This is a lovely example of the very famous British mills bomb hand grenade with its leaver and pin still in place also the base plate screws in and out perfectly not stiff at all the brass plate has all of its maker markings clear to see.The grenade case has no rust holes or damage it has cleaned up very well and still retains a lot of its original colour and has lovely black paintwork it is perfect for display or any collection and not the easiest of finds from the battlefield these days now. The grenade was recovered many years ago on the Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.
