This is a getting a hard to find item now from the battlefield a German steel made shell case for the flak 36/37/41 the famous 8.8cm anti aircraft and anti tank gun used on all fronts by the German army. The case is steel made with some brass wash remains it is in relic but solid condition non of its maker markings that can be seen on the bottom it has a few rust holes and and a bit of rust damage but around the top neck its pretty straight it is complete with its primer in the bottom but the case has been very well cleaned it is perfect to display or any collection, This case was fired by the Luftwaffe 311th Flak battalion recovered with tiger 1 tank parts next to a Lake East of Bastogne from battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.Due to the very low number of Tiger 1 tanks in the battle it is very easy to work out what units all the equipment came from recovered in this area. The shell case comes with a A5 laminated information card with picture.

German Luftwaffe 311th Flak battalion relics all found with Tiger 1 tank parts from a tank in the only Wehrmacht unit with Tiger 1 tanks in the whole battle and offensive 14 of them most were destroyed. They were in the 4th Company of Schwere Panzer Abteilung 506 also the 26th Volksgrenadier Division and elements of the Panzer Lehr Division were there and of course the 311th Flak battalion were with them in this area during the battle and the encirclement of Bastogne over Christmas 1944.
