German Army soldiers pair of ammunition pouches lovely condition,original colour recovered from a barn in the village of Miraumont on The Somme battlefield 1916-1918

This is rare to find battlefield which are partly complete G98 ammunition pouches .The pouches are in fantastic solid condition for recovered relics one is only the front section and the other is missing one pouch but is still maker marked they both still retain all of there original black colour and have been well used by its war time owner the leather is solid not braking up or crumbling and are a bit stiff ware the leather has dried out over the years rare to find in this good a condition from the battlefield perfect for display or any collection. The pouches come from a private collection on the Somme and was found years ago barn on a Farm in the village of Miraumont on the Somme battlefield the front line of late 1916 to 1918.It has been in a private collection until now the first time it has left the Somme since the war.A very nice original and iconic item from the famous Somme battlefield and comes with A5 laminated information card.

Miraumont was the German Front line from around September 1916 until it was occupied by British Troops at the end of February 1917 and lost on the 25th March 1918 and then retaken the following 24th August 1918.There was also a large German battery at Miraumont during the fighting.A very nice and rare soldiers item recovered from the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.
